Architectural Excellence: Ultra Music Festival Melbourne 2026
The Ultra Main Stage is not just a screen – it is a digital sculpture. For 2026, WOOHAH supplied a massive, multi-faceted LED environment that transformed Flemington into a high-tech cathedral of sound and light. This project was a masterclass in “Technical Mastery,” requiring millimetre-perfect precision and deep collaboration to bring the world’s most famous festival stage to life on time and without a single technical hitch.
Our “Super-Complex” technical delivery for Ultra Melbourne included:
- Iconic Geometric LED Architecture: We supplied and installed the entire site-wide LED package using ROE CB5. This included the intricate, multi-layered arrangement for the main stage facade and the Iconic Ultra Logo centerpiece. The CB5’s reliability and superior color handling were essential for the high-intensity visuals and synchronized light shows that define the Ultra experience.
- Engineering-Led Collaboration: Our team worked in lockstep with Ultra’s international designers and engineers. From pre-visualisation to the final panel lock, we ensured that the complex rigging and power requirements for the unique stage structure were managed seamlessly, resulting in an “on-time, faultless delivery.”
- High-Bandwidth FOH Infrastructure: We provided the full FOH Video Infrastructure, engineered specifically for low-latency connectivity across the venue. This allowed the client’s touring Media Servers to interface perfectly with our screens, ensuring the frame-perfect synchronisation required for the festival’s legendary visual pyrotechnics.
- Elite Festival Technical Unit: Our Technicians provided 24/7 site management, from the initial build through to the final headline set. Their ability to manage a “seamless” deployment under the pressure of a global brand’s requirements further solidifies WOOHAH’s position as Australia’s premier festival partner.
Congratulations to the Ultra team on another spectacular Melbourne event. We are proud to be the technical partner trusted to build the world’s most iconic stages.
