Ring Excellence: Delivering the Jumbotron for World Championship Boxing
When the lights go down at Qudos Bank Arena for a World Championship bout, every eye is on the ring – and the massive screen above it. Partnering with TEG Sports, WOOHAH was proud to deliver the visual centrepiece for a high-stakes night of elite boxing.
In combat sports, the margin for error is non-existent. We provided a high-performance visual ecosystem designed for the speed of the fight:
- The 4-Sided Jumbotron: We engineered a massive, central overhead solution using ROE CB5 LED. This four-sided “cube” ensured that every spectator, from ringside to the top tier, had a crystal-clear, high-brightness view of every punch.
- Low-Latency Integration: In boxing, the screen must perfectly mirror the live action. We deployed a specialized video infrastructure to capture and display the external OB (Outside Broadcast) feed with ultra-low latency, ensuring the stadium’s roar stayed perfectly in sync with the visual impact.
- Mission-Critical Reliability: A World Championship event is a global broadcast. Our technical setup was built for total stability, ensuring the signal remained rock-solid throughout the entire card.
- Specialist Technical Crew: Our technicians managed the complex rigging and signal flow for the central hang, providing the “Technical Mastery” required to execute a flawless arena-scale sporting event.
A massive congratulations to the fighters and the team at TEG Sports. We’re proud to be the team behind the screens for the biggest hits in Australian sport.
