For The Last Dinner Party’s Melbourne debut at the Bowl, the goal was to amplify the band’s “darkly raw and earthy” aesthetic for a massive outdoor audience. WOOHAH provided a comprehensive broadcast and infrastructure solution that integrated seamlessly with the venue’s existing systems, ensuring the “alchemy” of the performance was captured from every angle.
Our “Art-Rock Broadcast” solution for Live Nation included:
- Elite Hybrid Camera Network: We deployed a professional camera array including Full SMPTE Chains. This allowed our directors to capture the band’s frequent instrument swaps and Abigail Morris’s expressive choreography without intruding on the theatrical flow of the set.
- Pro-Grade ROSS Carbonite Switching: We utilised ROSS Carbonite switching to manage the live visual narrative. This high-reliability platform allowed for low-latency mixing of the multi-angle feeds, ensuring that the visual cuts were as rhythmic and precise as the band’s soaring harmonies.
- Seamless Venue LED Integration: We engineered the Integration with the in-venue LED Screens, providing a unified signal flow that allowed our live broadcast to take over the Bowl’s massive visual architecture. This created an immersive, site-wide experience that felt both monumental and intimate.
- Complex Signal Infrastructure: Our team designed the Full Video Infrastructure, ensuring that the high-bandwidth 4K feeds from the stage to FOH remained stable across the Bowl’s unique geography.
- Specialized Performance Crew: Our Operators and Technicians functioned as a specialised unit, managing the delicate technical balance required for a high-profile “summer evening” outdoor show. Their expertise ensured 100% technical uptime, from the first support slot by Sir Chloe to the final notes of “Nothing Matters.”
