Electronic Excellence: Powering Soft Cell’s East Coast Tour

When the pioneers of synth-pop, Soft Cell, hit the East Coast of Australia for their highly anticipated tour, the visuals needed to be as sharp as their iconic sound. Partnering with Destroy All Lines, WOOHAH delivered a sleek, integrated video solution that transformed the stage in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

To capture the duo’s signature aesthetic, we provided a multi-layered visual package:

  • Integrated Stage Canvas: We deployed a massive ROE CB5 LED upstage wall, seamlessly paired with a matching stage fascia. This dual-layer setup allowed the video content to flow from the background onto the stage itself, creating a unified, immersive environment for the band.
  • Seamless Media Integration: For this tour, we provided the critical Video Transport Infrastructure between Front of House and the stage. This allowed for the flawless capture and distribution of the client’s own media servers, ensuring their custom-designed content was delivered with zero latency and pixel-perfect clarity.
  • Logistical Precision: A three-city tour requires absolute consistency. Our Video Project Management team ensured that the rig was perfectly calibrated for each venue, maintaining the high production standards required for an international touring act.
  • Expert On-Road Support: Our technicians traveled with the tour, managing the delicate integration between the house systems and the touring video package to ensure every show was “Non-Stop.”

Congratulations to Marc Almond, Dave Ball, and the team at Destroy All Lines on a spectacular Australian run. We’re proud to provide the technical mastery that brings electronic music history to life.
