Transparent Indie: Royel Otis 2025 Australian National Tour
As Royel Otis transitioned to the nation’s premier venues, the production design demanded a balance of high-definition clarity and artistic “breathability.” WOOHAH delivered a hybrid LED solution that allowed the band’s vibrant, dreamy visuals to float in the air, ensuring that every sold-out crowd experienced the full scale of their rising star power.
Our “Tour-Ready” technical package for this Frontier Touring run included:
- Floating Upstage Canvas: We deployed the ROE Vanish V8T as the primary upstage wall. The 35% transparency of the V8T allowed lighting to punch through the screen from behind, creating a layered, 3D stage depth that perfectly complemented the band’s atmospheric soundscapes.
- High-Impact IMAGs: To ensure the back of the room felt as connected as the front, we supplied ROE CB5 LED screens for the side-stage IMAGs. These provided a bright, crisp contrast to the more ethereal, transparent main stage wall.
- Synchronised Visual Playback: Using Resolume Media Servers, we managed the band’s custom motion graphics and psychedelic textures. This allowed for real-time manipulation of the visuals to match the live energy of the set.
- Broadcast-Grade Camera Chain: We provided a Full Camera System with CCU (Camera Control Unit) and high-magnification Box Lenses. This allowed our operators to maintain consistent colour and exposure across all angles, capturing the band’s performance with studio-level precision.
- Engineered Touring Logistics: Moving a transparent LED rig across the country requires a specific level of Technical Mastery. Our Operators and Technicians managed the delicate setup and strike in every city, ensuring a flawless “white label” delivery from Sydney to Perth.
