The Cinematic Wrap: Parcels 2025 Australian Tour
The 2025 Parcels tour was a masterclass in unconventional stage design. Rather than a standard backdrop, the visual narrative was driven by a bold, “front-of-house” LED placement and an ambitious camera choreography that captured the band from every possible angle. WOOHAH engineered a bespoke touring solution that prioritised artistic depth and technical precision, ensuring the band’s unique vision translated to every corner of the arena.
Our “Art-First” technical solution for Parcels included:
- Front-of-Stage Transparent LED: We deployed the ROE V8T Touring Frame LED screen in a unique position – rigged directly to the front of the stage. This created a layered “window” effect between the band and the audience. Our team engineered a Specialised Rigging Solution to manage the extreme wind-loading and safety requirements of this forward-facing position, maintaining a rigorous national touring schedule without compromise.
- 360-Degree Camera Track Dolly: To achieve the band’s specific “artistic moments,” we installed a Full-Stage Wrap 360-degree camera track. This dolly system allowed for seamless, circular movement around the musicians, providing a fluid, cinematic perspective that traditional static cameras cannot achieve.
- 8-Camera High-Definition Chain: We supplied an 8-camera system with full broadcast chains to feed the complex stage design. This allowed for intimate close-ups and sweeping track-shots to be integrated into the live visual mix.
- Advanced 4 M/E Switching Architecture: To manage the sophisticated layering of the front-of-stage LED and the 360-degree feeds, we utilized a 4 M/E Video Switching Solution. This provided our directors with the horsepower to create deep, multi-layered visual compositions in real-time.
- Specialised Touring Crew: Our Camera Operators and Technicians functioned as a specialised film crew, executing the band’s highly choreographed visual cues with the “Technical Mastery” required for such a unique and demanding stage layout.
