The Inaugural Countdown: New Year’s At The Bowl 2025
For the debut of this landmark festival, the production had to be as iconic as the venue itself. WOOHAH delivered a comprehensive, broadcast-ready video solution that allowed the high-octane performances of artists like Underworld, Carl Cox, and Confidence Man to reach every corner of the Bowl’s sprawling lawns.
Our “Prime-Time Festival” solution for Live Nation included:
- Massive Upstage LED Architecture: We deployed a large-scale ROE CB5 LED upstage wall, providing a high-contrast, vivid canvas for the headline VJ sets. The CB5’s exceptional brightness was essential for transitioning the stage from the golden-hour sets of Joy Crookes into the deep-night electronic anthems of the countdown.
- Full SMPTE Broadcast Camera Chain: We provided a professional SMPTE Camera Package equipped with high-magnification Box Lenses at FOH. This allowed our Camera Direction team to capture the raw energy on stage and the massive scale of the crowd with the precision required for a premier Live Nation production.
- Pro-Grade ROSS Carbonite Switching: To manage the live visual narrative, we utilised ROSS Carbonite switching. This provided our directors with a powerful, low-latency platform to mix live camera feeds with artist content, ensuring every beat-drop was matched with frame-perfect visual transitions.
- High-Performance Media Servers: Our team managed the Media Server suite, providing the processing power necessary to drive complex, synchronised visual arrays and high-bitrate content for the international headliners.
- Complex Venue Rigging & Infrastructure: We designed a robust Rigging Solution and Full Video Infrastructure tailored to the unique architecture of the Music Bowl. This ensured that our systems were safely integrated into the permanent structure while providing the flexibility needed for a multi-act festival lineup.
- Elite Technical Crew: Our Operators and Technicians provided the expert leadership required for a high-stakes NYE debut, ensuring 100% technical uptime from the first afternoon set to the final 1:00 AM track.
