Tradition Meets Technology: The Melbourne Royal Show 2025
As a long-term partner of the Melbourne Royal Show, WOOHAH was proud to return to the Showgrounds to lead the Main Arena Camera Broadcast. This project is a logistical marathon, requiring a robust outdoor infrastructure and a broadcast team capable of shifting gears between fast-paced showjumping, grand parades, and explosive night-time spectacles.
To deliver a seamless experience for both the live audience and the digital world, we provided:
- Outdoor-Ready LED Infrastructure: We deployed our ROE CB5 LED screens on a specialised self-supporting outdoor structure. This high-brightness solution ensured the display remained crystal clear even under direct Victorian sunlight, providing a vital visual link for the arena crowd.
- Integrated Broadcast Camera System: We engineered a multi-cam Broadcast Camera System designed to cover the vast expanse of the Main Arena. From tight action shots to sweeping wide-angles of the evening fireworks, our setup provided comprehensive coverage of every event on the program.
- Cinematic Camera Direction: Our Camera Director managed a continuous live mix for 11 straight days. This role was critical in weaving together the live arena action with sponsor content and pre-recorded segments via our Media Servers.
- Global Digital Reach: Beyond the physical screens, we managed the Broadcast to multiple online destinations. This allowed the Melbourne Royal Show to reach a wider audience, streaming the best of the arena action to fans across the country and the globe.
- Proven Reliability: Our Operators and Technicians managed the rig through all weather conditions, delivering the consistent, high-standard performance that has made WOOHAH a repeat partner for this iconic event.
