Creative Architecture: Mayday Parade Australian East Coast Tour

When emo-rock legends Mayday Parade hit Sydney and Melbourne, the brief was to create a visual environment that felt as visceral and dynamic as their live set. Partnering with Destroy All Lines, WOOHAH delivered a creative LED solution that broke the “fourth wall,” bringing the digital content down to the stage floor to live amongst the band.

To achieve this high-impact, touring aesthetic, we provided:

  • Creative Ground-Stacked LED: We utilised our ROE CB5 LED screens in a customized ground-stacked configuration. By placing the screens directly on the stage deck rather than flying them, we created a gritty, architectural backdrop that felt like an extension of the band’s backline, allowing the visuals to wrap around the performers.
  • Synchronized Media Playback: Our Media Servers handled the complex mapping for the non-traditional screen layout. This ensured that the tour’s signature motion graphics and atmospheric textures were perfectly synced to the high-energy pulse of the setlist.
  • Touring Technical Support: Our Technicians managed the rapid deployment of the ground-stacked rig, ensuring that the “Technical Mastery” WOOHAH is known for was delivered across both major East Coast stops with total consistency.

Congratulations to Mayday Parade and Destroy All Lines on an incredible run. We are proud to be the technical partner that helps artists redefine the traditional stage layout for maximum impact.
