Translucent Trance: Marlon Hoffstadt 2025 Australian Tour
The 2025 Marlon Hoffstadt tour demanded a “No-Barriers” visual approach. To capture the energy of one of the world’s most sought-after DJs, WOOHAH engineered a massive, transparent upstage environment that allowed lighting and video to merge into a single, pulsing entity. Our “Discrete Capture” system ensured that every moment of Marlon’s performance was broadcast to the thousands in attendance without the technical footprint of a traditional camera crew cluttering the stage.
Our “High-Velocity” touring solution for Untitled Group included:
- Wall-to-Wall Transparent LED: We deployed the ROE Vanish V8T as the primary upstage wall, scaled to the absolute maximum dimensions of the Sydney Showgrounds and the Music Bowl. This transparent “mega-wall” allowed strobes and blinders to blast through the screen, creating the layered, high-intensity depth that define’s Marlon’s aesthetic.
- Discrete PTZ Remote Camera Network: To maintain the intimacy of the DJ booth while capturing every dial turn and drop, we utilised a Full Remote PTZ Broadcast Camera Package. These high-definition, robotic cameras allowed us to get “impossible” angles and tight close-ups without having operators physically on stage, preserving the clean, high-energy look of the performance.
- FOH Central Command Infrastructure: We engineered a Full Video Infrastructure site-wide, giving our team complete, low-latency control at Front of House. This allowed for real-time manipulation of the live feeds, perfectly synchronised with the lighting and the 140+ BPM soundtrack.
- Heavy-Duty Structural Rigging: Our Rigging Solutions were designed to support the massive scale of the Vanish wall in both indoor and outdoor environments, ensuring the “Technical Mastery” required for high-wind management at the Music Bowl and the industrial rigging requirements of the Showgrounds.
- Elite Technical Crew: Our Operators and Technicians functioned as a specialised electronic-music unit, managing the complex signal flow and rapid-fire visual cues that a headline trance set demands.
