Live Commerce in Motion: eBay Live 2026 Roadshow
The 2026 eBay Live Roadshow required a hybrid production model: part high-end retail display, part professional broadcast studio. WOOHAH delivered a “Touring Studio” solution that allowed AndPeople to execute a seamless blend of live in-person engagement and real-time digital streaming to thousands of remote bidders.
Our “Retail-Tech” touring solution included:
- High-Resolution LED Architecture: We deployed ROE BP2 LED Screens (2.8mm) to create a sharp, cinema-grade backdrop. This high-pixel-density surface was critical for displaying fine product details – essential for an event focused on rare collectibles and luxury goods – while providing a vibrant, glare-free background for the cameras.
- Hybrid Multi-Cam Capture: To capture the fast-paced “popcorn bidding” and interactive unboxings, we supplied a diverse camera array. This included PTZ remote cameras for wide-angle oversight and Wireless Sony FX3 cameras for cinematic, handheld “macro” shots of the products, allowing the audience to see every detail from every angle.
- Integrated Streaming & Switching: We provided a complete Streaming and Vision Switching solution, ensuring that the high-energy “stage shows” were broadcast with zero latency to the eBay Live platform. This allowed for real-time interaction between the on-stage hosts and the digital community.
- Unified AV Infrastructure: Our team managed the full PA System and Lighting design, creating a consistent, high-energy “studio” atmosphere across every stop of the roadshow. The lighting was specifically calibrated for “broadcast-ready” skin tones and product highlighting.
- Roadshow Rigging & Logistics: We engineered the Rigging Solutions to accommodate varying venue heights and floor plans across Victoria and Queensland, ensuring a “Main Stage” feel regardless of the site’s structural constraints.
- Specialised Touring Crew: Our Camera Direction, Operators, and Technicians functioned as a specialised live-commerce unit, managing the complex intersection of live event production and digital marketplace integration.
