Trance Transcendence: Dreamstate 2026 at Sydney Showground
The 2026 edition of Dreamstate demanded a “world-class stage design” that could transport thousands of fans into another dimension. To meet this challenge, WOOHAH moved beyond traditional screens and delivered a fragmented, high-impact LED installation that defined the visual identity of the main stage at Sydney Olympic Park.
Our specialized festival solution for Symbiotic and Hardware included:
- Architectural LED Strip Facade: We supplied 30 x ROE CB5 LED Screen strips, which were custom-integrated into the stage’s physical facade. This created a “digital skeleton” for the stage, allowing for complex, synchronised patterns and geometric visuals that flowed across the entire structure, perfectly matching the rhythmic precision of the trance and techno sets.
- Complex Structural Rigging: Our team engineered a Bespoke Rigging Solution to support the intricate placement of the LED strips. This required millimetre-perfect alignment to ensure the digital content mapped seamlessly across the fragmented surface, providing a unified visual narrative for the 10-hour event.
- Low-Latency Site Infrastructure: We provided the Full FOH Video Infrastructure, utilizing high-bandwidth connections to ensure venue-wide synchronisation. This “Technical Engine” allowed for zero-latency communication between the VJ teams and the on-stage arrays, ensuring every laser hit and beat-drop was perfectly timed.
- Dedicated Festival Technicians: Our Technicians managed the end-to-end deployment and site-wide signal management, ensuring 100% technical uptime from the opening set by Amy Wiles to the high-energy finale by Vini Vici.
