Stadium Scale, Global Standards: Diljit Dosanjh ‘Aura’ Tour 2025
When the “Global Sensation” Diljit Dosanjh brought the Aura tour to the Southern Hemisphere, the technical brief was one of the most ambitious of the year. For a stadium show of this magnitude, there is no room for error. WOOHAH engineered a massive, 4K-native visual ecosystem that bridged the gap between the performer and every single fan in the stands, ensuring the “Aura” was felt in every corner of the stadium.
Our stadium-grade solution for TEG Live included:
- Massive Transparent Upstage Canvas: We deployed a colossal 20m wide x 9m high ROE Vanish V8T upstage screen. This transparent wall allowed the complex stadium lighting rigs to punch through from behind, creating a 3D depth of field that brought a cinematic, “next-gen” look to the stage design.
- Towering Portrait IMAGs: To capture Diljit’s electric stage presence, we flanked the stage with 10m wide x 14m high ROE CB5 screens. These vertical giants provided larger-than-life visuals, ensuring even the furthest seats in the stadium had a “front-row” experience.
- UHD Fibre Backbone (Riedel Micron): We utilized a Riedel MediorNet Micron UHD fibre backbone for the entire venue. This provided a rock-solid, low-latency 4K signal transport, allowing us to move massive amounts of data across stadium-length cable runs without any loss in quality.
- 7-Camera SMPTE Broadcast Chain: Our 7x SMPTE Camera System, complete with high-magnification Box Lenses and full CCU control, delivered a broadcast-standard feed. Managed by a Ross Carbonite Ultra 2M/E touring PPU, our Camera Direction team mixed a high-energy, multi-layered live show.
- Tour Video Project Management: Beyond the gear, we provided end-to-end Project Management. From the initial stadium CAD drawings to the complex logistics of a trans-Tasman tour, our team ensured the “Technical DNA” of the show remained perfect in every city.
- Tour-Ready Engineering: Our elite team of Operators and Technicians managed the rigorous build and strike schedules required for outdoor stadium environments, maintaining 100% uptime in high-pressure conditions.
