National Celebration: Australia Day Live 2025 at the Opera House

For 2025, the Australia Day Live concert introduced a new stage design and a heightened focus on dance and movement. WOOHAH engineered a bespoke visual architecture that integrated the stage, the risers, and the harbor itself into a single, unified digital environment, ensuring the “Technical Mastery” on-site matched the prestige of the national broadcast.

Our “Total Site” solution for the Australia Day Live Organisers included:

  • Multifaceted LED Stage Environment: We deployed a comprehensive ROE CB5 LED suite, utilising the panels as both a high-impact Upstage Wall and integrated Ground Staging in front of the risers. This created a seamless, tiered visual depth that was specifically designed to enhance the new dance-focused performances of the 2025 show.
  • Harbor-Wide Visual Presence: Beyond the main stage, we deployed ROE CB5 screens throughout Circular Quay, including a specialised Floating Barge Screen solution. This ensured that the tens of thousands of spectators around the Quay and the flotilla of yachts on the water had a front-row view of the performances and the synchronised fireworks.
  • Broadcast-Standard Signal Management: We managed the complex signal flow using Barco E2 infrastructure. Our E2 Operators ensured pixel-perfect management of multiple inputs and outputs, providing the low-latency, high-reliability switching required for a live national television broadcast.
  • Integrated Teleprompter & IMAGs: We supplied specialised ROE CB5 Teleprompter screens for the hosts—John Foreman, Jeremy Fernandez, and Megan Burslem – alongside large-scale IMAG screens, ensuring the production remained professional and accessible from every vantage point.
  • High-Performance Media Server Suite: Managed by our expert Media Server Operators, we provided the processing power to drive the complex custom-fabricated screen arrays, synchronised with the show’s lighting and fireworks cues.
  • Rapid-Turnaround Infrastructure: Our Complex Video Infrastructure was designed to handle the high-velocity requirements of back-to-back acts, from the NSW Public Schools Choir on the Monumental Steps to high-energy sets by Sheppard and Dragon.

Congratulations to the performers and the Australia Day in Sydney team on a spectacular, revitalised celebration. We are proud to be the long-term technical partner that helps the nation celebrate its cultural landscape.
